Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech – The Red City

Welcome to Morocco! Upon your arrival at Marrakech Menara Airport, you’ll be greeted and transferred to your traditional riad in the Medina. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, soaking in the vibrant energy of Jemaa el-Fnaa, the bustling square alive with storytellers, musicians, and aromatic food stalls.

Take a stroll through the souks, or enjoy a rooftop dinner with views of the Koutoubia Mosque.

Day 2: Marrakech – Guided City Tour

After breakfast, embark on a full-day guided tour of Marrakech, starting with the stunning Bahia Palace, known for its intricate tilework and serene gardens. Visit the Saadian Tombs, the impressive Koutoubia Mosque, and the Ben Youssef Madrasa.

Wander through the labyrinthine souks, filled with spices, leather goods, and artisan crafts. In the afternoon, explore the peaceful Majorelle Garden and the Berber Museum, once owned by Yves Saint Laurent.

Day 3: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Aït Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley

Leave Marrakech behind and ascend the High Atlas Mountains via the winding Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260m), offering jaw-dropping scenery. Stop at the UNESCO-listed Aït Benhaddou Kasbah, a stunning ksar used as a backdrop for many films, including Gladiator and Game of Thrones.

Continue to Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Africa,” and visit the Taourirt Kasbah before heading into the Valley of Roses and Dades Valley, where you’ll overnight in a charming guesthouse overlooking dramatic rock formations.

Day 4: Dades Valley – Todgha Gorges – Merzouga Sahara Desert

Travel through the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, reaching Tinghir and the breathtaking Todgha Gorges, with 300-meter-high cliffs. Walk along the river before continuing through the desert towns of Erfoud and Rissani.

Arrive at Merzouga, where your camel awaits for a trek into the vast Erg Chebbi dunes. Watch the sun dip below the horizon before arriving at your luxury desert camp, where dinner is served under a sky bursting with stars, followed by traditional Berber music around the fire.

Day 5: Merzouga – Sahara Adventure Day

Wake up early for a magical Sahara sunrise and enjoy breakfast in camp. Today’s 4×4 desert tour includes:

• A visit to Khamlia Village to experience Gnawa music

• Meeting nomadic Berber families

• Exploring black volcanic rock formations and ancient fossil sites

• Visiting the Merzouga Lake (seasonal), home to migratory birds like flamingos

Return to your hotel in Merzouga for the night or opt for another night in the camp.

Day 6: Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Midelt – Ifrane – Fes

Bid farewell to the desert and drive through the vast Ziz Valley, lined with thousands of date palms. Continue toward Midelt, nestled between the Middle and High Atlas Mountains, and enjoy a scenic lunch.

Drive through cedar forests near Azrou, where you may encounter wild Barbary macaques, then stop in Ifrane, a European-style mountain town. Arrive in Fes by evening and check into your riad.

Day 7: Fes – Guided City Tour

Explore Fes El Bali, the oldest and most authentic medina in Morocco. With your local guide, visit:

• Al-Qarawiyyin University, the oldest in the world

Your final day begins with a transfer to Casablanca to visit the iconic Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest and most beautiful mosques in the world, perched on the Atlantic Ocean.
